Bridal Runway Show | Spring 2015

I knew this would be my last runway show for awhile, especially at Provo Fashion Week since my husband and I are moving to NYC this summer for the foreseeable future. So, I decided to make two collections - a 12 piece ready-to-wear collection, along with a 15-piece bridal collection. I had picked up a few fabrics in NYC while visiting last fall and I tried to use up any random pieces I’d been holding on to. I also incorporated my wedding dress into the collection.

White Sequin Open Back Wedding Dress, Silk Rhinestone Tank & Skirt, Open Tie Back Form Fitting Dress, Feather Skirt & Embellished Sweatshirt, Sequin Gown & Tulle Ballgown, Blush Chiffon Skirt & Tee, Ivory Petal Tank & Tulle Mini Skirt, Taffeta Windowpane Separates, Metallic Gold Bow Skirt & Embellished Beaded Tee, Gold Mermaid Skirt & Sequin Sweatshirt, Golden Floral Silk Gown, Gold Sequin Skirt with Beaded Bodice and Floral Organza Overlay, Beaded Open Back Ivory Wedding Gown, Floral Overlay Wedding Dress, Copper Sequin Tulle Ballgown: Bree Lena

Early Designs | Sequin Maxi Skirt

I started designing dresses when I was in high school (if I’m being honest, my first actual design was in elementary school. I had a favorite dress that I grew out of and was so sad about it, so I went to JoAnn’s with my mom and we picked out a coordinating fabric. We cut up the dress (it was a cotton stripe pink/orange/yellow (my childhood favorite colors) shift dress, and used the extra fabric (hot pink satin) to make a new skirt - I really wish I had a photo of it! In high school I made two homecoming dresses and two prom dresses, with a few other skirts/dresses in between.

After high school I moved to NYC to study Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). I received my Associate degree in 2010 and then went on to business school at Brigham Young University (BYU), where I received my Bachelor degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing in 2014. While at BYU I participated in my first fashion show in 2013.

Here are a few of my first designs from high school/FIT/first fashion show.
